During my time at Validar, I developed innovative solutions for business events, focusing on creating iPad and surface check-in apps for in-person and virtual events. These applications often included unique, branded name badges for event attendees, enhancing the attendee experience while tracking key data and leads. My role involved a diverse range of responsibilities, from front-end development to custom branding, and I worked closely with clients like Google, Microsoft, AWS, Cloudflare, Twilio, Stripe, Indeed, Salesforce, the NFLPA, and Black Hat Hackers to deliver tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Front-end development (60%): Developed engaging user interfaces and experiences using a variety of front-end technologies, ensuring seamless interaction during check-in processes at major events.
Server-side development (10%): Maintained and updated ASP.NET web applications, optimizing them for better navigation and data presentation.
Brand asset management and data modeling (30%): Managed brand assets, tailored event content, and created custom data models to meet specific client needs, ensuring a personalized experience.
Notable Projects:
Lead Capture Solution: Developed a custom lead capture solution using Ionic Framework to capture barcode data at tradeshows, integrating with registration APIs for faster lead processing. Gamified Sessions, and offered prizes, presented data back to the client informing them of their most successful sessions.
Custom Event Solutions: Developed custom leaderboards, banners, check-in screens, and badges, all with custom logic based on attendee data, offering a highly personalized experience for each event.
Event Apps for Major Clients: Built iPad and Chromebook apps for events like Salesforce and Google Atmosphere in major cities everywhere across the globe, including locations in the US, London, Paris, Munich, Tokyo and many others.
