Overview

Simplifying Crypto Management

I designed the key features and interfaces for Stacked, a platform offering automated trading bots and pre-built crypto portfolios. The objective was to provide a seamless and intuitive asset management experience for both beginners and experienced traders, simplifying the complexities of cryptocurrency management.

My Role

Led the UI design for both desktop and mobile platforms.
Developed a cohesive, scalable design system that has been in use for over 4 years, maintaining consistency across the platform.
Collaborated closely with UX researchers and developers to refine functionality and optimize user experience.

The Challenge

Managing cryptocurrency investments is inherently complex, often requiring multiple tools and platforms for tracking, trading, and learning about tokens. Users needed:

A centralized platform for managing their entire portfolio.
In-depth market insights directly on the platform, eliminating the need for external services like CoinGecko.
Accessible and user-friendly ways to engage with automated trading and index portfolios.

Research & Inspiration

Conducted thorough research to identify user pain points through discussions with UX teammates, ensuring the final design directly addressed user needs.
Analyzed competitor platforms to gather insights on market data, token insights, and portfolio management tools, helping inform the platform’s design decisions.

UI Kit Development

Created a comprehensive and flexible design system, including typography, color palette, iconography, and interactive components, ensuring a unified aesthetic across the platform.
Ensured a seamless and consistent experience across both desktop and mobile interfaces, prioritizing usability and intuitive navigation for a wide range of users.

Enduring Impact

The design system I created continues to be in active use today, four years later, a testament to its scalability, adaptability, and long-term relevance in a fast-evolving industry.
